Dusti Mullins on Drug Court and Recovery Programs

Dusti Mullins lives and works in Huntington, West Virginia. She is a 2019 graduate of the Wayne County drug court program and of Marie’s House Recovery Program.

While Mullins served her alternative sentence in drug court, she lived at Marie’s House where she rebuilt relationships with her family and daughter, became a mentor to other women and embarked on her Academic Career in Business Management.

Mullins said she was the last person anyone would have thought could succeed in drug court or at Marie’s House because she was so resistant to authority. Now almost 19 months clean and having worked the program successfully, she is an inspiration for many young women and serves her community through outreach using the same program and coping skills. While working in Huntington, Mullins continues to work towards a degree at Huntington Junior College where she has a 4.0 average.
