Dusti Mullins on Drug Court and Recovery Programs

Dusti Mullins lives and works in Huntington, West Virginia. She is a 2019 graduate of the Wayne County Drug Court Program and of Marie’s House Recovery Program.

While Mullins served her alternative sentence in drug court, she rebuilt relationships with her family and daughter, became a mentor to other women and began taking courses in Business Management.

Mullins said she was the last person anyone would have thought could succeed in drug court or at Marie’s House because she was so resistant to authority. Now almost 19 months without using drugs, she continues to work towards a degree at Huntington Junior College where she has a 4.0 average.
